Hi guys, When I use DirectInput for the mouse it works great, I have a direct correspondence between the mouse movement and an object I move on screen and it''s perfect. It also doesn''t matter what I set the sensitivity to in Windows (control panel.) Will it work the same way for everyone else ? You see, I add spin to an object depending on how it''s hit and I tuned it just right (on my computer at least), but if someone else plays on their computer it might be a lot easier or a lot harder to get that spin thus ruining the gameplay. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks.

I *think* windows mouse sensitivity doesn''t affect DInput, as it returns raw data from the mouse.

You can simply divide the mouse input by a given value, and make that value optional (try to write a test, from which you can determine this value, so that input is the same on all clients)

Just to clarify what I mean by test:
A test app the client would run, and somehow - depending on the client''s input - determine the value to normalize that input.

Maybe you can record the ratio of changeInMouseUnits/changeInMouseCursorPos on your PC. And then determine the same on on the client''s PC, and from that determine the normalization factor (that makes his ratio the same as yours)
