Odd computer problem... THE LINES!!!

Ok, this just started after messing around with Max Payne 2 tonight... and not sure what is going on. I now have small 7-10 pixel wide lines randomly populating my screen. They slowly get worse over time (I think...), and aren''t there at start up. It isn''t a virus as it seems to be clean, and thinking MAYBE it is an over heat issue? Updated drivers and such, but no change. Anyone had this weird sort of problem? Any ideas?

- Hardware damage.
- Low Performance/Old video card.

Does it only happen in Max Payne 2? Maybe try reinstalling the game.

Are they horizontal lines or curved lines? If they are curved lines, it might be a moire problem. If its a nice monitor, it''ll have controls to adjust it to get rid of them. If not, I''m not sure what you can do about it.

Sounds like an overheating issue to me, spacificly, of your video card. Do they move about? Or are they static.

If its caused by heat then it will be seemingly random, as your video image is currupted during its stay in your video ram as the heat builds up. If your an overclocker, this is a sign that you should back off

Might have had a fan go out. They are horizontal. Going to rip this thing appart and check the fans tomorrow.
