I''ve been interested in hardware/electronic development for a long time. So finally I''m looking into learning about how to do homebrew projects like that. I found this: http://www.iguanalabs.com/mbkit.htm Has anyone here bought this kit? Is it a good deal? Would it be good for a beginner? Any suggestions on where I could find resources for electronic development? Eventually I want to make serial and maybe even USB based devices. Thanks

I think you can probably buy all the components individually a LOT cheaper and then buy your own book or find one online and end up paying under half as much. Shipping might bring up the price, but if you have a local radio shack you can often have them order it for the store and have them pay shipping then buy it from them when it gets in.

The prices for the individual components on the site I gave seem pretty competitive. The reason it is so much is because it comes with the microcontroller programmer. Is it still too much(maybe you didn''t notice that)? If so, where can I get a better deal at?

For all your electronic component needs: Jameco

Although their prices have been getting a little higher, but where else can you buy 100 good 10uf Capacitors for about $15?!?
