I was wondering if there are any distributed C\C++ compilers (like distcc) for the Windows environment. I remember an ad in the GDMag, but I can''t remember the name of it. There are probably more, anyways. I figure that, since I''m on a LAN with about 8 computers on it, why not speed up my compile times with it?

You can use distcc with cygwin, and that would get your windows machines to use it.

Yes, I could. But then I''d also have to install cygwin into all of the other computers. Visual Studio .Net is already on a few of the other computers, and Incredibuild has a free 30-day trial. I think that I''ll try it out.

MinGW - Minimalist GCC for Win32.

MinGW is great, it''s minimalist because it doesn''t include all of the "other" compilers - just c, c++, and I think fortran (might be lisp in there too, not sure).

You''d have to download the windows GUI libs seperately (on the site).

Great compiler set, give it a shot.
