I ate squirrel for the first time today. Went out with some friends... we shot it, skinned it, then grilled it. Didn''t really taste that great even with a honey-ish sauce.

Well then. That is wonderful.
I ate frog legs once, and it is true what they say - they do taste like chicken They are a bit yellowish though.
I tried horse meet once too. I didn’t really like it, but it wasn’t really prepared that well. I took a bite and then I got the feeling of vomiting a bit - you know, like you lean forward to get ready and then you get all serious. Yeh, it was like that.
So yeh, thanks for sharing. I got some new pants today.

Thats funny because I did something similar over thanksgiving weekend. Went to a friend''s house who had went out squirrel hunting, they caught a few and brought it home and the guy''s wife cooked it up. I tried it just to try it because I never had squirrel before. I didn''t like it, it was too spicey, but that may have been the white sauce it was cooked in. Also there were just too many tiny little bones which made it hard to eat. And the meat wasn''t good either, didn''t taste like chicken but didn''t taste like a steak either. Its hard to say what it tastes like, but I didn''t like it at all.

Yeah, my experienced friend was the one who did the shooting and the skinning. My other friend and i just did the grilling. But i agree with you, it didnt taste that great, all i had was two bites and i fed the little bit that was left of my share to the dog.
