we got less than an inch today and they canceled school.
I am in canada (at school right now) There is about 3.5 FEET of snow, and they made us goto school

What the hell? My school is still open despite all the college closures in my area. The bus didn't come so I gave up and went home.

At Cornell, they only cancel classes if the state shuts down (i.e., the highway is closed and a state of emergency is declared). December 2001 seven feet of snow fell in a single day in Buffalo, NY; I don''t think any of the schools in the area (except for those in Buffalo itself) cancelled classes.
Fortunately, I go to Stony Brook, and our semester doesn''t begin for another 20 days!

I live in WA too, I go to the same school as Xtremehobo, and school is obviously canceled for me too, I think its canceled with like 1 inch of snow cause the people here are real pussies, last year, or like 2 years ago when i moved here from Minnesota (real snow place) people were parking there cars on the side of the raod and walking back home in like 3 inches of snow, cause they are afraid of the snow or somehting. I dont get that cause i would see SUV''s that had AWD on the side of the road! Whats with that?
