What can we do with console style "vibrating" joypads? Some games use them for explosions. Some when you take damage. Some use them to represent heartbeats, whuch seems cool. Maybe have a game with an invisible enemy that you can detect by the frequency of their heartbeat (ie. as it gets nearer the pad vibrates more frequently)?
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time had an item you could get called the "stone of agony", which would make the rumble pack pulsate as you got close to hidden secrets. If you were walking around and it started to actuate, you would feel around, metal-detector style, until you were on the apex of the disturbance, and then you''d try bombing, or hammering, or playing a song, or whatever. It was neat.

I like using it in place of a meter. Say you''re holding a bow at full draw for ten minutes. Gradually, your muscles would fatigue and your aim would suffer. Using the vibration to convey that, rather than just turning something red or having a decreasing bar, would be neat. Or use it will ledge hanging. If Solid Snake''s muscles started to twitch after a few seconds of dangling by his fingertips, or after too long under water, it would beat an endurance or oxygen meter by a damn sight.

Yeah that would be a good feature. combining visual and tactile feedback would be better than a meter, which doesn''t seem to fit in with the fairly minimal GUI.

I never bought a rumble pack for the N64 since it seemed like a waste of money but the default PS2 controllers have them built in.
Cake, you need a console....BAD. Preferably Gamecube or Playstation.
