I have this code from the MS Flight Simulator directplay interface...what kind of data types should I be using for these? UINT32 makes sense but I have never seen the notation VAR8. Any ideas? Typedef struct MULTIPLAYER_PACKET_HEADER { MULTIPLAYER_PACKET_ID packet_id; UINT32 data_size; VAR8 data[]; } MULTIPLAYER_PACKET_HEADER; I am currently using a void* for VAR8, but there are a few other weird notations as well... STRINGZ SIF32 Thanks

I found some answers to this....they are defined in an include file that come swith the gauges SDK for MS Flight Sim. Although the data that come back using these types is not correct? Oh well, I''ll keep hacking....

make sure RTTI is enabled and query the type in code.
