I am currently using the effect framework, but when i render my meshes, i saw the farthest ones in front of the nearest. I tried to change z buffer functions ( greater, less, ect ), but it don''t works, they all seems to be EQUAL, because it works with LessEqual, GreaterEqual, and Equal. So, i don t know why they are equal, as they are not at the same position... I tried setting Zbuffer parameters Inside the effect framework, and inside the code, with the same results. thanx, Cybird

Look at the section of code you create your viewing matrix with. If you are using D3DXMatrixPerspectiveFovLH, what value are you using for the last parameter (it the z-value of the far viewing plane)? I''ve had what you''re describing happen too me when that value is too high.

also if the near z-value is less than or equal to 0, it''ll make that weird effect.
