Nonsense, all machines support raw. You probably search the file in the wrong directory, try adding a debug text file creation like "debug.txt" and see where that file is being created. The reason that it doesn''t work because the raw file format is nt supported is nonsense because it is just a file with pixel data (1 uchar for red, 1 for green and 1 for blue, or simply 1 uchar for greyscales) for a number of pixels so you won''t need any dll loading routines. That''s the reason raws are so damn handy.

oh i see, i just assumed it wasnt supported because there was no program on the computer to run it so it could not be opened

*sigh*
raw is just outputting the data without any headers, compression, anything like that. So there''s nothing in the raw file that tells you whether it''s 256x256 or 128x1024 or any resolution, or whether it''s greyscale or how many bits of colour. To open it you have to know those things.
Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop both open them fine, as long as you know the things above.
