This website has some assembly tutorials.. look under the Articles & Resources link. I learned a lot from outputting my Visual C++ code in assembly with C++ source commented..

I''m going to try the AoA website.

The Art of Assembly Language
Assembly Language for the PC
PC Programmers Bible

Also - Go to the intel site (or Motorola I guess) and download the specification for the CPU you want to learn assembly for.

That should get you started..

I would just like to also recommend the intel website. They have very extensive guides about their whole processor range... including optimization, and general architecture guide... as well as complete lists of all commands (including intrinsics, to use with intel C++).

I''m learning rapidly from this one.

This book is so good let me put it this way: you have to be a bit stupid to still not understand asm after reading this book! It''s an excellent text.

AoA Website (1996).. it''s a bit old, and some sections are not complete. Anyway, it''s a really good introduction to it, and doesn''t use the (to my opinion) horrible HLA.

programmersheaven is a good resource, but most of is a bit old

As mentioned earlier, cpu spesific reference manuals are very useful.. Intel ones are great

Assembly Language for Intel Based Computers is an excellent assembly book. Note however that i have yet to find a book that goes through programming the floating point unit (actually le mothe''s book does have a section but its not an asm book).

Heres a site that i found really useful, it covers quite a lot of areas to help you understand registers, processor flags and memory/stacks
