Hello everyone. I have managed to get the animator that I am working with to create his rendered output as uncompressed AVI files. The format of these is ARGB32, which is ideal for my purposes. This brings me to my main questions: 1. These uncompressed files are quite large. Does directshow keep the whole AVI files in memory or does it take it from disk as it needs it?? If they are kept in memory then I have a problem because I have a lot of these animations so I will run out of memory quite quickly which brings me to my second question. 2. Is there some way to compress these AVI files and keep the same format when they are decompressed?? Thanks in advance. Mark Coleman
