Networking??

I have a pretty simple question about setting up a wireless network between two computers. I have my desktop set up connected to my cable modem. And I want to wirelessly connect my laptop in such a way that I have access to my desktop's drives and to the internet via my cable modem. What do I need to buy to do this?
