Hi there... I''ve recently got into C# and am looking to use it to make some large scale applications which will require careful planning. I''ve used OOP very loosely before in C++ using objects etc. but never made the whole application from an object. Are there any good tutorials or sites people can recommend about using OOP to create applications, in particular Graphics Engines etc. Alternatively, some source code / application structure or something of a similar nature would be helpful. Cheers, Synex Code Monkey

There will be plenty of Software Engineering books at your local bookstore or library
"Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it." — Brian W. Kernighan

And there are some articles here too...see the "Software Engineering" section.

My recommendation:
Object-Oriented Software Construction, 2nd Edition by Bertrand Meyer

Not mainstream (uses Eiffel as example language), some years old (though not outdated). Very detailed and gives a strict definition of what OO should be.
