What the hell happened to GD's IRC chan!?! And what the hell happened to Afternet?? It's only listing 36 chans and about 30 users... have their megahurtz been stolen or something? //Edit Hmm... seems to be working now. o_0 [edited by - od1n on February 1, 2004 3:25:12 PM]

It was probably a netsplit (which, for reasons of sheer weirdness, I refer to as a ''newtsplat'').

One or more of the servers which comprise the Afternet IRC network became disconnected from the rest - as a result, those servers sorta become ''mini-networks'' of themselves.

There are a lot of netsplits now. Just wait it out if it annoys you so mutch. I think they had some router problems last month, so this might be the case.

Ah, netsplits are nothing, they happen periodically, and honestly are not a big deal.
