It would be cool to see a game design that reflects the game designer''s life. Has your sexual or love life ever influence you to add an idea to your game design or maybe influence you enough to make an entire game based on such? -------- "Do you believe in Ghost?"
--------"Do you believe in Ghost?"
I have heard about some people''s writing and such be influenced by a recent break-up and such but anyways what kind of question is that??

In many cases, sexual fancies are too fleeting to base a game on. Before you know it, springtime is over, and the young man''s fancy turns from love to other matters. And suddenly, there goes the entire basis for your game. In my opinion, unless you can maintain a continuous romantic high, there''s no way you''ll be able to finish the game before you''ve lost the inspiration.
Pain is the catalyst to fine art and so a rough breakup can really create some interesting ideas given the right person.

... and kind of ideas would that be?

Anyway, I never consciously had my sexual life influence any game design ideas. On the other hand, there are certain times when I feel more creative and some when I just cannot come up with anything...

All the characters in my games are hot naked women, so I guess it might have a slight effect.

Sorry, but I gotta disagree. Art captures thought, emotion, feeling... if all art has to be stuck on one melancholy note, then art is pretty damn limited. The misconception that art stems only from pain leaves us with all kinds of pretentious bitchy self-indulgence - from "literature" to emo rock.

Art should make you think. Why should all of those thoughts be negative?
it's not because it's pain, it's because it's raw emotion, and more importantly, there is a LOT of it. It's because of the magnitude of the emotion that it tends to "inspire" artists.
when life is boring, it's damn hard to create anything.
At least that's what has been happening to me for the last few years and I FeCKING HATE IT... :-/

Anyway
