Hi, I'm a 3D artist looking for programmers to work on a game with. I already purchased a few engines i.e.: Torque, 3D rad... Wrote a few game design documents. I am very motivated and looking for people who are eager to get some concrete work done. I am employed and cannot spend more than 20 hours a week modeling but speed and experience make up for it. Do NOT contact me if any of the following applies to you: - You do not like console games - You only play FPS - You do not like final fantasy (in terms of artwork and music) - You do not like games like Zelda - You want to code your own engine from scratch Otherwise, don't hesitate to contact me. Hi,
I may be interested,if i could possibly see some gallery or screenshots of your art/work.

Dedication/hard work/and reliability is something i have never found in my experiences with collaborating with people iv''e got together with on line before...(as of yet),its always ended up with myself doing nearly everything, and has made me a little wary of jumping into doing it again.

from your list...

- You do not like console games - I like console games.
- You only play FPS - no,i play many, many styles of games.
- You do not like final fantasy (in terms of artwork and music)
yep,like ff style art.
- You do not like games like Zelda - a great game.
- You want to code your own engine from scratch

...hmm,i have coded my own engine from scratch.Iv''e actually done 2 different versions,a 2d/3d backdrop (which may be suitable for a ff7 /8 style game) and a full 3D engine.

As i said,i''d love to see some of your artwork demo''s,and definately interested if your as reliable and dedicated as you sound.

Paul.

I know people give up, my best friends gave up...
If you feel the same way we have to talk and see if we can be on the same level and work on projects together.

I will email you my work since my webpage server is currently down.

Thank you for your interest

Hi. Well, address your criteria:

- You do not like Console games

I love console games and have always wondered why computer games haven''t been more like console games. I have worked on countless game projects in the past and have always tried to bring in a console-type feel.

- You only play FPS

Well, I almost never play FPS.

- You do not like Final Fantasy (in terms of artwork and music)

The stories in FF are lacking, but I have to admit, they have the best music and art I have ever seen in video games. I still listen to the music from the older games while I code.

- You do not like Zelda

Zelda for the SNES is my favorite game of all time. I love playing it and watching it being played. Currently, my buddies have been coming over and taking turns beating Wind Waker.

- You want to code your own engine from scratch

Here lies the problem. I do want to code my own engine; however, I have an engine I''ve been working on for over 2 years. It is a nice, powerful engine focused on speeding up game deveopment. I can see that this is a concernt from an artist''s point of view as you would have to wait on things to be developed. Again, my engine has been used in games for over 2 years, so any waiting time would be minimal. Also, I am looking at not only making the engine easy to use for the programmer, but also the artist. I am creating side-programs that the artist can use to develop objects, scenes, and even auto-generate code that I can throw right in the game and have it work. This gives the artist a lot of control in the game development process, and of course, speeds things up.

I can tell from your first four criteria that you and I share the same interests in games, and have mentioned reliability and dedication as important qualities in team members, two of which I also heavily value and posess. If you are interested, you can email me at VChelaru@hotmail.com. However, to discuss a game, I would like to have an actual discussion rather than just messages in email that take hours or days to reply to. Therefore, I suggest we connect over a messaging program. I have MSN messenger with the email VChelaru@hotmail.com (the same one) and AOL Instant Messenger (preferred) with the name ArmySarj. Hope to hear from you soon. I may also shoot you an email.

Great to hear that you don''t want your own engine . I also work fulltime and spend most of my game time on console.

You can send me a mail and tell me about your plans and what you currently have. we''ll see what we can work out from there.
