Anyone know of a program like this? Set up a server-side script to set up an RSS file holding all recent forum events. The program then downloads, reads and displays the forum events on the screen. The user could then have access to all forum actions within the program. I think it''s a pretty good idea. Dispite the fact that the user could just go to the website to visit forums. But that program would make checking for new posts and searching through the forums WAY easier.

I had an idea of making a forum application once. There would be modulesm, one for a specific forum, like one for the GameDev.net forums or any BBoard (???) forum or the DevArt forums and the module would be the charge of parsing and extracting the HTML, POSTing and all that fun stuff.

Good idea though. I think DevArt has one of these.
