Gday there, I have been using C++ to develop small to large OpenGL app''s over the past year or so, anyway, my mate is now trying to convince me that C# is the way to go now. I have dabbled with it since but have found it so frustrating and annoying that it is taking the fun out of game programming, for me that is. Does anyone here use C# to develop their OpenGL applications? If so why and how does it benifit your applications over C++? Anyway, can anyone explain to me why I should be using C# to develop my games and app''s from now on instead of C++??? I would really appreciate any advice/comments/suggestions that any of you may be able to offer me. Thanks for your time. Cheers, MeeZ

I personally think it''s cleaner than C++. And programming seems to be faster. And given the fact that it''s similar to Java in the fact that everything is tied to a class. Over larger programs, it''s easier to track data and avoids those random variables chilling out in main that you''re long forgot what they were for or if you even need them.

Although i use only C++ for openGL currently because i do not want to port, I do find C# to be a better language and would reccomend it for any beginner. Note that you will have to find a different version of OpenGL such as CsGL to run it.
