I belive what you want is to have a custum cursor on the screen,
the way i would do it was use:

ShowCursor(false);
then i would load in a bitmap through opengl.

Turn onto orthographic mode, then do:
POINT Point;
GetCurorPos(&Point);

then i would draw the cursor picture i loaded in with opengl at the coordinates reciveved from Point.x, Point.y.

The method above could be used for full screen mode, a easier windows way to do it is:

HCURSOR Cursor;

LoadCursor() or something, i forget, but just load in a image and convert it to the cursor format.

Then do SetCursor(Cursor);

and that should do the trick.

Another way to do it, is when you specify the structure for the window you are creating, one of the parameters has to do with a cursor, just fill in that parameter with LoadCursor() or something.

I really hope that helps you
