[Link to site attempting to rip off people by selling pirated software]

All the software is OEM- Meaning that you don't get the box and the manual with your software. All you will receive is the actual software and your unique registration code.

No tech support is given by the manufacturer. Please refer to our Frequently Asked Question’s Section for more information. Note that we are not selling any trial, incomplete or academic version of software – it is original and fully functional.
Complete BS, right?

Right. OEM software comes with a new computer. If bought without a computer, it should have the box/manual etc. Windows Server 2003 Enterprise for $200? Not.

BTW, e-mail them and ask do you get certificate of authenticity for the MS products, if they say no....

Okaaay. Someone should report them to MS, Adobe, and all the others they sell illegal copies from.

It''s not necessarily illegal. OEM software has to be shipped with computer hardware, but a lot of contracts don''t specify what computer hardware. So you''ll get, say, a copy of Microsoft Office and a 5 1/4" floppy disk drive. Shady, but I''m pretty sure it''s legal.

From the FAQ:

"This software is recognized as a backup software."

In this case however they are hiding behind the tag of "OEM" to try and cover for the fact they are selling copied (pirated) CDs. For Joe user this explaination is usually enough to hold off suspicion when they recieve a CD with a laser printer label with the registration code on it, with no accompaning licence certificate. There are countless operations like this. For this reason I''m removing the link.

So is someone gonna report them?

Well, the guy seems to be Russian. Russia has other problems than to care about copyright infringements, especially from American companies (read: they don''t give a shit). The worst that could happen to him, is that he''ll get his domain cancelled (NeuLevel, the .biz NIC, is in the US, afaik), and his site will go offline (which seems to be hosted by an American company). One week later, he''ll be up again on a different domain. Probably one outside of US jurisdiction, if he is smart.

Fighting against internationally operating commercial software pirates is unfortunately very, very hard. See Thailand, for example, where the money made by large scale commercial product piracy (not only software) represents a large amount of the countries economy.
