Try not to get any questions wrong.
You are officially now my favourite staff member!
Unless you are downloading a syllabus to look through, you need to GET OFF YOUR COMPUTER RIGHT NOW.
GDnet will NOT help you revise. It will totally ruin your concentration. I know this from experience.
GO! NOW! SAVE YOURSELF WHILE YOU STILL CAN!

But my study material is on the PC. :o
Cert21 helped me a lot.
They have a few practice questions for free, but if you spend the $20 on it you get like 400 questions, and when I took the A+ exam, there were many of those questions on the test, word for word.
It may have gone up since then, I took it a few years ago.

The worst thing about mistakes is explaining it to my wife.

I took the A+ exam in 2000. For my exam, if you memorized the default IRQ''s, order in which certain files are loaded for DOS, Win 3.x, and Win 9x, and the six (I think it was six) steps of the laser printer, you''d pass. I have no clue why the laser printer stuff was on the exam. Let us know if it''s still there.
A few days after I was certified, I was able to use the line, "Step aside, I''m A+ certified."

Oh yeah, I forgot about all the laser printer crap that''s on it.

I honestly have no idea what to tell you to study for. I never cracked a book, took both exams back to back and didn''t get a single question wrong. Stupid company wanted me to ''prove my expertise'' after fixing PCs for a living for the past 13 years. hrmph. Well, it was a nice day for a drive and I did get out of work for 1/2 a day even though it only took me half an hour for the exams.
Wow, you sound elite enough you could have simply proven your expertise by building a computer from the ground up from noting be legos, with one hand tied behind your back, while jumping on a trampoline which your work table also happens to be sitting on, while doing backflips and other various tricks. Then building your own keyboard with nothing but a 1 and a 0 on it; and then use it to programming your own operating system that is a Windows XP clone, which would be completly hackor proof for the rest of eternity. Remember we''re still jumping on the tramp, only now your hopping about 30 feet in the air with every jump. Lastly, you did this all in about 30 secs...
Why not just have done that one morning when you were bored to show your, "expertise."
Anyways...
I took it and passed. Mmmm... can''t remember my score. Not important though, nobody will actually look close enough to see what score you got. Besides, I''m still in HS with nothing else but this silly cert. I''ll go around to local computer repair places and see if I can''t get a job to tide me over for awhile.
It still has stuff about Laser Printers.
I never saw any questions concerning DOS, like the autoexec.bat or command.com or any of those files refered to. It never mentioned Win 3.X either, and why would it?
Anyways, yeah for me. If anyone wants to ask me anything go ahead. I''ll see if I can be of a small amount of help.

holy shit that post was funny. Can I use that in something like an easter egg or something? And congrats! Despite what some may say, it is useful. It can be what gets the interview but of course won''t get you the job. I do have some gripes with the quality of the card they send you tho.
