My source code on...paper napkins?

Okay, I rarely remember my dreams. But last night, I had a doozy. I was just about finished with a game in the dream. (Incidentally, the same game I am working on right now in the waking world.) But, get this, my source code was printed on paper napkins. To work with the code, I had to take a special, one-of-a-kind paper napkin "drive," lay my napkin on it, close it and then plug it into my PC. My game''s code fit on about a hundred of so napkins, all in a nice neat pile. And we''re talking about the CHEAP picnic style napkins, absolutely single-molecule thin and about as able to soak up grease/BBQ sauce/etc as a piece of glass. Well, the dream turned into a nightmare as suddenly things shifted, and I was fairly young, still living with my parents. My mother had cleaned up my room (because, appearently, I wouldn''t) and she moved my paper napkins and their napkin drive! I found the napkins, but couldn''t find the drive! Oh no! Running around the house, I was looking for it everywhere, in a total panic. The napkins, without the drive, were just pieces of paper! No other method for reading back my code existed! My game was lost, lost forever! Then I woke up. Damn, that was weird. Not a very nice dream either, it''s had me in a bit of a blah mood all day long. I think, when I get home from work, I am going to burn my game''s code/art source files onto a few DVD backups... At least the code wasn''t on toilet paper your mom inadvertantly used.

That''s hilarious, but it''s not much different from storing the code on your hard drive -- you need the right devices to read it and it''s pretty volatile (though optical media like DVDs are better).
