I just saw the movie and wow... It's one of those movies that have you thinking about it for hours after. I'm not going to say anything about the plot because it's just so kick ass. Johnny Depp was amazing in it and gave it some classy comic-relief from the creepy storyline. There are some things in it that make you wonder why they did it, but that just adds to the want to go see it again! If you're anyone or everyone, GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!

Who the fuck cares how old you are. It's not even that violent. Yes, there are some issues brought up in it that require a level of maturity, but it's just such a great movie that age should have nothing to do with it.
Ah man, I want to say so much about it, but can't because it would just ruin everything for you guys!
[EDIT]
And parents should have a look at what they're cutting their kids off from before they cut their kids off from it. I personally think that method of parenting is bull-shit.

Eh, the end has its violent moments. And there''s the bit with the dog, but I won''t spoil it.
I saw that movie with my girlfriend. We both thought it was pretty "ok" but the conclusion really made it worthwhile. It''s a very good psychological drama with a surprising twist at the end that many, many movies seem to lack the capacity to provide nowadays. For this alone, it''s worth watching.
Meh, not exactly a romantic movie though. Shame.

find a theatre that allows people under 17 to view rated R movies. That is not a law, it is only a popular policy used by many theatres. There are at least 3 of the 6 movies theatres in my area that don't have this policy.

It''s a parents thing, not a theater thing.
don''t even say anything about your age. just walk up like you own the joint and ask for a ticket. if you are in a long line, the clerk will probably be more interested in moving the line rather than checking ID. Just don''t sweat and shake.

Can''t, I''m under 18 and my parents won''t let me watch R-rated movies.
Just get a ticket to Scooby Doo 2 and watch Secret Window instead...
(I''m assuming that one of your local theaters isn''t run by Nazis.)
Yeah, it does look good; I''ll see it when I can

yay, the methods have not changed.
I haven''t seen it yet, but it''s a story based on a Stephen King Novella. And it''s rated PG-13, not R... :/
I''m happy to live in Holland. R-rated means "16 and older" here ^_^
Doesn''t matter anyways for me. I''m 20.

* maybe some mild spoilers * I saw it a while ago, and I thought it was pretty good, but I don''t know why you guys are so giddy over the ending. It''s been done so much by now that it''s become cliche. I''m sure at the time the book was written it was a lot more original, but now it''s not.
I agree, Johnny Depp was awesome.
