So, my university just got approval to charter a chapter of the Upsilon Pi Epsilon honors society for computer science. I don''t want to presume, but it looks like I will be the charter president (since I actually set this up, along with one of the faculty). We were fortunate, because an executive directory had just been at our school to exam us for national accreditation, so he was completely familiar with our program and was able to rush our application through. We have our induction ceremony in exactly 2 weeks.

Cool, congratulations. I helped (re)start an acm chapter at my school, and we had always thought about getting UPE going as well, but never had time for it.
