circumcision poll

I was circumcized myself, but I think it was more for tradition than anything else. I''m not refering to a religious tradition, but the social tradition of circumcision. Historically it made sense from a medical perspective when people didn''t do this little thing called bathing with hot water and soap on a daily basis, but in today''s world it''s actually pretty pointless.

I think it''s not necesary, but cleaner than uncircumcised.

If you''re going to circumcise them, do it when theire babies. To much traumatic when you''re older...

The American Academy of Pediatrics says that infants who are not circumised are less prone to irritations and infections that can have a negative impact on the male''s fertility later in life, link1, and the Circumcision Resource Center says that the foreskin contains approximately 1/3 of the nerves in the penis (I would never wantto deprive one of my sons of 1/3 of his sexual sensitivity!) and serves an important function in preventing chafing during sex, link2.

Sorry forgot to mention Im not circumcised and I feel its a barbaric practice. I feel it offers no advantage medicall or otherwise.Id rather not force it on my boys.If they are older and they feel they need to then yes.

I feel sorry for guys with nasty looking mutilated penises. Also, smegma isn't something I'd consider normal, unless you go without bathing for weeks at a time.

To the OP: Don't disfigure your children. If they want to be circumcised later on in life, they'll have the option, but you know what? They won't want to. So why do it?
