Hello all, Been thinking of creating a game similar to Roller Coaster Tycoon, except the gameplay is much more focused, in that you have to design a funhouse/haunted house in a top-down or isometric view. You could just create one, or create many, either as a franchise or seperate establishments. There would be two modes; "Design" and "Simulation". You would use Design mode first, and would have a budget to spend on buying a location, converting the outside to look appealing, and blueprinting the inside. You would also be able to pay consultants to take a look at your work and decide whether it would be viable or not. "Simulation" mode would be the actual implementation of your funhouse/haunted house in your chosen location, with customers coming in and out. I have pretty much everything worked out with the design, except the design doc itself. Was just interested to see if anyone would be willing to help out a bit on this, maybe getting it to shareware status if the finished product turns out good. I''ll probably be needing artists and programmers, since I can contribute sound. Any constructive criticism is welcome, either on the forum or by email (please, no flaming.) Thanks for taking a look

Take it from experience, you never have it down until you have it in GDD form. I can''t tell you how many times I''ve thought "Surely I can remember all of the important elements to this game," and ended up forgetting half of them later. Even if I did remember them, simply having the idea isn''t the same as seeing the implementation. If you''re just looking for people to help you develop the GDD that''s cool. Also, it''d help if you had an online site showing off your talent with sound.

Thanks for the advice. I''m trying to get some sound and music examples together that I can post up. The design doc seems to be more integral than I really thought, so I''ll be sure to write one up .
