I just recenty started using .net becasue of the changes in the gui that makes working on dual monitors easier, but the GUI seems to lag... As I switch between windows it pauses. It also does this when I type a lot of ''->''s and ''.'' where the autocomplete and autoformat kick in. Is there a way to speed things up with out buying a new processor?I''ve got a 950mhz... should be enough to run a GUI! VC6 had all of the features .net does (- tabs and multiwindows open in single pane) and never lags. Are there some settings where I can maybe fix this? I''d like to be able to use that one feature of multi-panes with tabs, but will have to do without if it lags as much as it is... Thanks Dwiel

Yay for .Net!

I''ve never noticed any lag, although I did on my Intel 2.4 ghz machine (p4).

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ right now.

hmm...

I do have Vissual Assist X installed... maybe that is what is slowing things down... I did notice that 6.0 is a tiny bit slow at responding sometimes. Which it never is.

I guess if anyone knows of an addin for 6.0 that could give me the tabed panes for each monitor, that would be terrific. I couldn''t find any on the inet myself.

Thanks

If you haven''t done it already, try turning off Dynamic Help.

Yes, curse that Dynamic Help which is by no means Dynamically Helpful.
