Ping Pong!

My family got a ping pong table today. Just like badminton, it''s a lot of fun to play. I''ve pretty much never played ping pong, but I got a hang of it pretty quickly. I''ve now got a hang of one of the proper grips (not the funky one I''ve seen pros use) and using the sides the right way. I guess I''ll read up on the basic rules and try to follow those. Anyone else here play?

When I was younger, 7-12?, I use to play for hours every day. I got quite good, but I gave it up, now I play squash.

table tennis... hell yeah! But buy your own bat for god sake if you really like it!

the bats you get with the tables (or with the parents

) are absolute tripe. Once you get a good hang of it, both backhand and forehand, get a good plank, good rubber, like some Tibhar Vari Spin, Yasaka Mark V (maybe not just yet

), or whatever (like, fancy some Antipower? lol), something with lots of control and feel, not too thick (1.5) , and you wont''t believe the difference. Then you can beat the crap out of your uncle at the barbecues

I think the table came with a couple good paddles. They''re made by Stiga, which I think is popular name in table tennis.

I love playing ping pong in school, but I suck at it

Then again at school we had these horrible tables that weren''t even the proper length so it was kind of hard. I just programmed my own Pong game a few days ago as well. Go me
