You know of any good realtime, space strategy games? I mean empire building ones, not the Homeworld type. Preferably multiplay too. Cheers!

but... Homeworld is one of the greatest games ever.

There''s one that I''m thinking of, but I can''t remember the name. All I can remember is it''s pay-to-play, so you probably don''t care.

There used to be Star Dart, a free online game, sort of like Risk in a way, I wonder if it''s still around.

Didn''t Sid Meier make a game called Alpha Centauri? I think it''s similar to Civilization.

I know of some turn-based ones, such as the Space Empires series or the Master Of Orion series. Oh, I do remember a bit about Imperium Galactica II. I bought it, plan to play it someday. It didn''t work very well with WinXP when I bought it, but my roommate played it recently just fine (and on XP). If I remember correctly, it was realtime (pausable and such; dunno how it would do multiplayer).

Imperium Galactica II is _amazing_. I believe there was a sequel coming out, but I know it was in some trouble, so im not still sure about that. Other then that, Star Trek: Birth of the Federation is great as well.

I *loved* Imperium Galactica (I), and never bought the second. Yeah, I don''t think the third ever got finished, either.

Pax Solaris is awesome (and made by someone on GDev!)

Not exactly what you''re looking for, but, after all, it is the best freaking game ever made, period.

And its in space too. And has empires. And you blow stuff up. And you do all kinds of things. You want this game.

Now if it would only run without constantly crashing to desktop....

Sigh.

It seems that it is still on its way here (under a different name apparently). w00w00
