ugh talk about a downgrade from VSNET B-)

At least it''s an alternative for people that can''t afford VSNET or can''t get the academic version.

Eclipse

How does that work? Last I checked, it was pretty buggy and not nearly worth the hassle. But that was a year or so ago, and I''m sure they''ve made progress since then. I may consider using Eclipse if I can get both Java and C/C++ capabilities out of it.

Too bad Eclipse looks like a child's toy beside VS.NET.

Oh wait, it is a child's toy. No problem then.

I haven''t, I''ll admit. Still, it''s better than Arjuna, KDevelop, or any other non-Windows IDE. But on Windows, none can surpass the glory of the DevStudio IDE. If there is one thing MSFT did right, that is it.

By the way, it looks like there''s a loaf of bread on the box.

Eclipse is the single best IDE for Java in existence. Note that this does not make it a good IDE.

I won''t go near it for any other language.

No offence but if you even think eclipse is in the same ballpark as VSNET you are sadly mistaken. B-)

My IDE is worse than yours isn''t, and my compiler is more compliant to the wrong standard than yours wasn''t in a version that''s three years old.

Hah, I win.
