Stellar Odyssey Interactive is looking for a programmer to work on a game called Poker Time. Currently the art assets are in the process of being created and we have an audio studio working with us for the background music. Poker Time is a puzzle game that utilizes poker hands. The game should be fairly simple and straight forward to work with. The original idea was to have this game created in C++ but we are open to other suggestions as well. All of our teams are assembled under work for hire agreements. You can find samples of these agreements on our web site. In a nut shell we pay our teams in the form of profit sharing after the game is released for the life of the title. If you are interested in learning more about this game you can download the game documentation from the Projects section of our site or by clicking on the link (http://www.stellarodyssey.com/default.aspx?c=3). There is an electronic non-disclosure process that needs to be completed prior to downloading the doc. If you have any other questions regarding our company or this project please feel free to email me directly at bill@stellarodyssey.com. Thanks! C++? So it''s a dos game, or will you require win32 API / MFC ontop of that?

We are going to base the API on the skill level of those that apply. This game is not intended to be a DOS game, and DirectX is the API that we are using for our other projects.

i''m gonna copy that legal stuff from your site - it''s a really great way to rip people off !

Our intent wasn''t to rip people off. We really will share the profits of the game when it''s completed with the team that works on it.

That''s a pretty one-sided contract. At a minimum, you ought to be extending the right to audit the company books to your ''employees.'' As it stands now, you could claim profits were zero and it would be very difficult to prove otherwise.

Good point CheeseGrater. While the agreement does not state it, we will be reporting sales in an honest manner to everyone that worked on the game. I don''t have time to become lying corporate scum, so this reporting will be accurate.

According to our lawyers, failure to do this will result in an adverse situation. We give all of the people that work with us special access to our web site so they can see download statistics and web traffic for all of our games. We really have nothing to hide here, and our entry into the industry is more important than getting rich off of people that took the time to help us out.

I''m glad that this was brought up. It really helps to get an honest perspective of how we are perceived and where we can improve. I will work on putting some content together for our site to address this concern.

Thanks!
