I know someone at my school sho is collecting those things. He started like 2 months ago and has like 400. I dont think you will get enough in time before they stop the contest thing.

You do realize that the amount of money you have to spend in order to get enough points is more than the price of buying an Xbox.

Lets look at some facts and figures.

Price of Xbox (According to bestbuy): $149.99

If you only buy 20 oz. bottles at $1/bottle @ 1point/bottle it will cost you $550 to get an Xbox.
Money Wasted: $400

If you buy 12 packs for lets say $3.50/pack @ 3points/pack it will cost $644
Money Wasted: $495

So in reality you are just wasting your money. Conversely if you got a part time job at minimum wage it would only take 2 weeks to earn enough money to buy one. But hey, maybe if I buy some mountain dew when I get groceries today I''ll give them to you, you''ll be 3 points richer!

You ignore the fact that you are consuming the Mt Dews. For $550 you get an XBox and 550 sodas. The price of the sodas are the same with or without the promotion, so you aren''t wasting anything so long as you would have purchased the soda anyhow.

True, but I dont know of too many people who go out and buy 550 bottles of soda at a time unless it is for some large event. According to the official rules the event started March 1 and ends August 18 which is roughly 160 days so you would have to be drinking about 3-4 sodas per day for it to work out to your advantage, meaning you are spending the same amount of money you normally do and end up with a free xbox.
