I''m not one to slate companies that try to protect the data of others(eg, Macrovision), but it seems that they won''t let me watch some new DVD''s that have the Macrovision protection on them... The reason for this: my GeForce3 card has a TV out, additionally, I can''t disable this TV out feature, even though it knows I have no device connected to this output. When I try to watch DVDs using PowerDVD XP, it just whines at me. So I tried using that InterVideo thing, which fails also. The only program that will let me watch DVDs is DVDx, in a small window, which kinda sucks. So my plan is to remove secdrv.sys and see if this will bring me much luck, or just make my system get all tearful next time I reboot. Any 2 cents/pence/euros/pesetas? "You are in a room. Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other

Try www.videolan.org , as far as I know it doesnt care about region settings or Macrovision protection.

Since it does softwere decoding of the DVD, you need a CPU which isnt a proverbial fossil( aka <1ghz intel cpu)
