We are a two man team, a 3D artist and C/C++ programmer. We have completed a project together and are developing a 3D flightsim engine. We are looking for someone who has experience but would like to stretch their abilities in an indie project and develop a quality product. Required Skills: - Knowledge of Direct3D or OpenGL - Knowledge of Win32 programming - Appreciation of when not to use OOP - Excellent C and C++ skills Recommended Skills: - DirectX - Winsock programming - Game Engine design - Visual Studio 6.0 Please send a demo of your best work with source code to turtle_hunter_d@hotmail.com
As your leader, I encourage you from time to time, and always in a respectful manner, to question my logic. If you're unconvinced that a particular plan of action I've decided is the wisest, tell me so, but allow me to convince you and I promise you right here and now, no subject will ever be taboo. Except, of course, the subject that was just under discussion. The price you pay for bringing up either my Chinese or American heritage as a negative is - I collect your f***ing head.

What do you need the source code for? No sorry, but I won''t give my best demo+source code freely to you.

I will not disclose the souce code to you specifically for that exact reason. Rather, I am going to unleash it upon the general public, right in this thread.

#include <iostream>

int main()
{
std::cout << "Hello World!";
return 0;
}

So, can we start talking about that job?

EDIT: Wait a tic, I just came upon a great idea. For a demo of my accumulated knowledge when I apply to game companies will have some sort of "hello world" in it. This is gonna be great. A breathtaking demo, something that eventually spells the words "hello world"

What are the goals of the project? Is there pay? (it says it''s indie, but doesn''t mention pay, if you intend to seek a publisher, etc). If you have a previous project may we see it?
Thanks.

no, no pay, that''s what i meant by indie. the goal is to get a demo to submit to potential employers, but no direct monetary gaines. you may see the first project, the url will be given by email reply. the project was done for a military company through my university and contains declassified data. even though it''s declassified and we were not provided with compensation for it, i don''t feel it''s appropriate to post a link on a message board to it.

now i know the "declassified" thing will generate a few flames, but make them funny like "cout" guys.
