Hi, i have done some simple 2d programming but was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me what the best books are to program 3D games, i would be able to program them in C++, C or Java and i could also learn a new language if there is one that would give better results. Thanks in Advance Dave

Realtiem Rendering is probably the best book for pure theory, for an API well it depends which you want to go for, but this site http://nehe.gamedev.net/ is very good for opengl and can save your money for more books.

Yeah, man. Check the web before you go drop money on a book. There are good books, but there are good sites with stuff up for free. There are good tutorials on this site, my favorite on www.two-kings.de, and other places on the web. Use the links on this site or your favorite search engine.

If you''re hard set on a book though, any book by or supported by Andre Lamothé is my recommendation to you.
