I''d be interested in reading about portability, platform independence and so on ... I think it is very confusing. And I suck at using Google (can anybody write an article about that maybe? ;( ) Is it possible to write a portable game if you develop on a computer running WinXP ... ... but you know the theory behind writing portable code? Maybe people could add random info related to the topic here. - The difference between portable and platform independent? - What do portable frameworks ( like OpenGl toolkits ) have in common? - What role do the compilers play? - What role do the processors play? - What functions/types are platform specific? - What is Endian Independent? - How can portable code come with platform specific optimization? ( - What is file mapping? Is that related? ) I know the answers to some of the questions myself. But I guess an article like that might be interesting for other confused beginners. Or maybe beginners shouldn''t even bother ... ? Please no stupid "Use SDL" replies. ;D

Google Help
How to Google
Google for more information...

But yes, an article like that would be cool and probably even useful

I''d consider writing such an article.
