Ive been trying to implement a procedural texure generator for a terrain engine but im having alot of problems with it, i''ve searched around on google for about a month or so and only found 2 articles from flipcode, does anyone know of any resources or tutorials on this stuff or have any tips on how i could go about making it??

Kinda depends what kind of texture you want to make.

Useful procedural textures (IMO) are ones based upon perlin noise, cellular automata, 2D particle systems or a combination thereof.

If you want to make procedural textures, I invite you to take a look at

(blowing my own trumpet, I know, but relevant to your question).

Well i need to create a texture to stretch over an entire terrain, and make it by blending other textures at different heights and slopes etc... I already have 2 or more textures loaded into memory but i just cant figure out how to blend them together into the final bitmap.
