Like the one on this page, but better 
? Maybe an image of that sort on the new-post pages with one to four digits? That'd be somewhat annoying, but it'd work quite well... unless a visual-pattern-recognition-programming genius comes along.
EDIT: And, AFAIK, the recent posts with advertisements are done by hand.

I haven''t seen any ads posted by bots. Since you need an account to start a new thread, it seems unlikely that bots would start posting here often enough to create a problem.
