I''ve seen lots of them in Vegas. I suspect that only yuppies use them. Its like $30 to breathe for fifteen minutes. I''ve been doing that for years for free.

But you haven''t been getting high dosages of O2.
At last check, too much of that can prove to be toxic...
New and improved! Yet still under construction.
Don''t know about toxic, but lots of O2 can make you very, VERY happy
And all was well until someone decided not to follow the rules and started smoking.
brilliant
pure oxygen is not exactly pure O2, it includes O- and O3+, which are both HIGHLY reactive and have a nasty habit of eventually destroying your lungs. If you take it in small doses, you won't get a significant amount of the chemicals to have any real damage, but extended usage can wear away the lining of your lungs.
Also, I expect the air in such a place to be very dry (H2O vapor in the air would only hamper the intake of O2) and cool, which would dehydrate your skin and eyes, not comfortable for the former and definitely not good for the latter, especially if you wear contacts.

I thought these were only in A Clockwork Orange until my boss told me differently. Anyone here been to one?
I haven''t seen that movie in a while but wasn''t it a milk bar that they went to, not an oxygen bar?
I have heard about them and assume that they are purely a west coast(California) thing. I have also heard that Jack Nicholson goes to them. Seems to be a not-yet-illegal way to get a quick buzz off of something different.
At a mall here in Austin, there was an Oxygen booth deal in the courtyard. Looked like several underage (prob. illigal) kids were running it. There were about 5 different colored tubes you hooked your nose breather thing into. One guy was just sitting down to it, but I walked by, eyes rolling.

Could be. I haven''t actually seen the movie, but I thought I read something about the two being related. I went back and reread the blurb, but didn''t see anything about it. I''m not sure where I heard about oxygen bars then.
I prefer chocolate bars.
My HS chemistry teacher one told us that she once worked with this one dude at a MickyD's and he would constantly be messing around with a helium tank. But, one day, he ended up choking on the helium and died. THE END.
EDIT: Oh yeah, the moral of the story is um...helium can kill too.
