Hey, something is really annoying me with Photoshop.. I don''t know how to fix it.. Everytime I create a new file and I try to save it, it only allows me to save it in some cheap formats ( .CIN, .PDF, .PSD, .RAW, .PNG, .TIF and 2-3 I never saw before ) If I want to make a tga, a gif, a bmp or a jpg, I have to open a file with one of those extensions and only then will I be able to save in the format I want.. So I always have to open a picture and edit it if I want to save it in the format I want.. Any idea how would it be possible to fix that? Thanks

Heh, well, that''s not really what I meant by "cheap formats"
I just meant those are uncommon formats wich I don''t need and this is cheap..

And "Save for web" doesn''t give me the whole possible formats.. it only gives GIF, PNG, JPG and similar..

Anyway, the file format I really need is TGA

Targa (TGA) is in the list of file formats in the ''Save As'' dialog...

The problem is that it is not for me.

The only file formats I have in the Save As dialog are:
Photoshop
Cineon
Photoshop PDF
Photoshop RAW
PNG
TIFF

Um, could you please confirm for us that you''re creating new documents in RGB format? Other formats restrict the file types you can save to.

is that 16 bit/channel?

cause if it is thats your problem right there...

8 bit/channel = 32bits per pixel.
16 bit/channel = 64 bpp.

Oh, crap hehe, I didn''t think it could be 16bits-channel
I was wondering why there was no 32 bits

Thanks a lot, everything works fine now..

Heh, 128bit colour.
Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other
