Hey guys, ive been reading ALOT of books recently about the state of the government and some absolutely terrible things about fast food chains (did you know that at a McDonalds meat packing plant, a man feel into a vat of lard and the company didnt dispose of the lard, insted they kept it going through all the processes and sold it to consumers like you!!!). I was thinking of incorparating alot of my gained knowledge into a satirical stealth/action/adventure game with the main charactor: Michael moore. The game will all be about collecting the dirt on people. whether it be by video or audio mikes. You must sneak your way through high security buildings to get to the people you want. Countries i hope to include are America, England and a cave somewhere in the middle east! Micheal moore has to use his amazing stealth skills to outwit his opponents with only his camera, microphone and a copy of his book, dude wheres my country. I was thinking that i would make the 1st level a tutorial level where you must collect all the equipment and learn how to use it. Also using the on screen notes like suggested somewhere. Im still thinking of how to present all of the stuff in game. Here are a few models i am hoping to include in the game: Michael moore Gearge Bush Tony Blair Bin Laden Ray Kroc and many more... I would really appriciate feedback on this idea, and yes it would be in 3rd person Also i would highly recommend a book called Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser All those strong supporters of bush or binladen, please dont flame, im looking for constuctive comments please

I think you might have to get some sort of permission from Michael Moore to use his name and likeness in a game, but he is a very creative guy, and would probably consider it, and, you''ll likely find, as we say in the movie business, he has some ''very strong ideas'' on how to rewrite your plot.

Overall, I can''t see him as disagreeing with your approach, god knows he''s doing us all a great service, despite AP''s POV, with the snooping he''s doing already, and the things he is bringing to light.

You ought to write him straight up, and tell him about it, brush up the format so it looks like a professionally designed executive summary you are submitting, and then see if he will get on board with the idea. The only thing that I can an issue with really, if and once you get permissions to use the license of his likeness and copyrighted phrases like, "...her son died because she had to ride the bus four hours each way to make fudge and cappucinos for the rich", as part of the avatar exclamations every time another white collar criminal is sent to country club for relaxed lassez faire privileges, the overall game would probably be well received.

Thanks addy, i was thinking about making a few test levels and then actually going ahead and writing to him for his support. I hope he gets on board

You'll end up having to pay him $10,000... give or take... to use his likeness and name in a videogame.

I agree with the anonymous poster... Mickey lies and lies and lies, and people who don't do their own research are suckered into his con... Sad really...

Oh, and I highly recommend MooreWatch.com.

At least his "lies" (if that''s what they really are) doesn''t kill people, like the ones from some president I''ll watch but his name I won''t mention, just for respect to the community.

I had a quick look around, but to be honest it seems to be run and frequented by people who just don''t like to hear bad stuff said about their country.

Back to the original topic though.

I think the game could be a lot of fun, shame about the potential legal hassle. Maybe you could use a character that somewhat resembles Mr. Moore, without actually being him.

Then again, it''s worth sending him an e-mail, if that is possible, he might just go for it.

If it involved finding the most gruesome ways to kill Micheal Moore, I''d play it. Otherwise, you''re a liberal pinhead deserving of my hate.

Or, in other words, Political games have an inheritantly limited audience, and are just flamebait.

WEll THATS a really good perspective to have.

"OH MY GOD! HE JUST KILLED SIX PEOPLE!"
"So what? That guy just LIED!"

I do like the idea of the game, its similar to something I was considering, just with a political side to it.

Well don't count on Blair and Bush then unless he has one million bucks to waste.

Anonymous, signature of worms.

I know millions of 'cons' who believed there were WMDs and insulted those who just pointed evidences the proofs were forged and that there was probably nothing left after 10 years of inspections in Iraq. Who believed Saddam was linked to AlQaida. Who believed it would be a war against terror. Iranian theocrats, Pakistan double gamers and Bin Laden laugh well. That must be so funny to see such petentious ans corrupted twats fall so easilly in their plans.

So animalous'd better shut the hell up. You'd need 100 millions of Moore more to restore what remains of this pseudo-democracy you're supposed to offer to the world. Now you spread the roots of terror world wide, and in your own country every single basic right is trampled by the Bush plutocratic consortium.

So you'd better reorganize your lies lies shit by order of relevance. It's a f***ing truth that Bush has been financed by the Bin Ladens, that they helped him in his buisiness, where he was so uncapable apart his relationships, that he let them flee right after 9/11. And it's a f***ing truth that's none before him dared to lie so openly in front of the world. Meanwhile you
read those who prefered to shit on France and "food for oil", and close your eyes on "lies and blood for oil". Where is your backbone ? Any common sense ?

And unless you take the bet to watch his movie you'll never learn anything. Of course all he says is not 100% true. He's in the politics and biased. But he mainly lets his 'opponents' talk and there really comes the truth out.

zachs, dont get influenced. If you really wanna do it, just do it. I am sure Moore would let you do for free. Or I''ll kick his arse the next time he comes to France. I can even help you with my coding skills if possible.

^^ You should read up on your shit before you sound any more idiotic. You should also consider a grammar check and spell check before you flame people.

You know millions of cons who believe WMD were in Iraq? Guess what, theyve already found WMD in Iraq. Where is your lie?

Did you know that Osama Bin Laden forsaked (sp?) HIS family and HIS country because of their dealings with the US? SO what the fuck difference does it make that the Bush family has ties with the Ladens. Osama abandoned them.

Say your brother (if you have/dont have one) went and killed a dozen people. Noone should deal with you or do business with you because of what your brother did, is that right? I would have let the Ladens flee too. It would have been suicide for them to remain in America after 9-11. Or do you support detaining people just because of where they come from instead of evidence they were involved?

Moore doesnt have ''stealth'' skills. He has EDITING skills. He can put together a string of inconsistincies and half truths and make it SEEM like the truth.

I guarantee you Moore wouldnt let you do it for free. You know why? He is out for $ and thats it. He is a scam who deals in half truthes, foreign and domestic ignorance, and fear to get people upset enough to drop $ on his books/movies. And you sheep are following right where he wants you to.

If our war was for oil, then where the hell are my cheaper gas prices? where the hell are all the oil drums coming into america? They arent. Gas is at a record high here.

I dont hate France, ive never been there and dont pretend to know much if anything about it. but people like you piss me off when you think you''ve got the US figured out. You dont live here, youre using MOORE as a damn reference! You have no intelligent backing to support anything you say. You just yap off what the most current media story is and act like you are up to date.

You mean that single shell of sarin gas that was used by the insurgents that predates the first gulf war? Thats hardly a WMD.

Yes, because there is just TONS of oil able to get out of Iraq right now.

you need to refresh your definition of WMD.

Also, please provide proof that it was used by insurgents and that it predates the first gulf war?

Thats exactly my point about Oil. If that was our reason for going, a YEAR after we took the country, we would have oil coming out of it.

But no. Instead, if you would do your RESEARCH we have more schools open than ever under Saddam, we have more hospital open than ever. The Iraqi Soccer team will compete in the Olympics for the first time in a long time.

But yea, lets just IGNORE the good things since thats what the media is doing and not form our own opinions.

Im not saying the War went perfect or that the WMD issue isnt a priority. Lord knows Bush isnt perfect at all. But for fucks sake, look at the facts and make your own judgement instead of listening to what the media, especially Michael Moore (jesus) want you to think.

quote:
While its apparent age would mean it can't be regarded as evidence of recent Iraqi chemical weapons production, some analysts worry the shell may be part of a larger stockpile of Iraqi chemical weapons now in the hands of insurgents, but no more have turned up.

Recent weapons production. Last time I checked, claiming Iraq had WMD != claiming Iraq is currently making WMD.

quote:
Defense Department spokesman Larry Di Rita told reporters, "It could be a lot more. It could be nothing. It's just too early to tell."

This is my point. It could be more, it could be nothing. We dont know yet. All this is, is EVIDENCE that WMD exist in Iraq. To what extent we dont know yet. Does it justify War? No, but then I never needed WMD to think Saddam needed to be taken out. That I wont get into since this IS a gaming forum.

Ugh, we know Iraq HAD WMDs, hell, who do you think handed them over?

Address to the Nation, March 17, 2003
Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised.

United Nations Address, Sept. 12, 2002
Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons.

Radio Address, Oct. 5, 2002
Iraq has stockpiled biological and chemical weapons, and is rebuilding the facilities used to make more of those weapons.

quote:

Cincinnati, Ohio Speech, Oct. 7, 2002
The Iraqi regime... possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons.

quote:

Cincinnati, Ohio Speech, Oct. 7, 2002
The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program. Saddam Hussein has held numerous meetings with Iraqi nuclear scientists, a group he calls his "nuclear mujahideen" -- his nuclear holy warriors. Satellite photographs reveal that Iraq is rebuilding facilities at sites that have been part of its nuclear program in the past. Iraq has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes and other equipment needed for gas centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons.

State of the Union Address, Jan. 28, 2003
Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent.
