I know there were some discussions about specific labtops and how much they were worth but I don't think there was a thread exactly like this so here goes. I'm looking for a labtop to use for gaming and game developement like programming and web design (including graphics). I'm leaning towards Alienware. I know these are really fit for gaming but what about game developement ? Like, I want to be able to write code on the go. If this isnt' the best choice, what is? Perhaps Dell?

No, no, he means a PC that sits on top of a lab. Y''know. Science research centres and the like.

No guys, I''m pretty sure he means the kind you''d strap onto your labrador... you know... like he says, on the go. You might want to code while walking your dog.

Didnt know alienware were moving into the labtop market :-P

Anyways, I would go for an alienware or dell laptop. Alienware is exepensive but it is the gamers choice for laptops. Dells are more general purpose and afaik cheaper.

Writing code is just text editing so any laptop will be fine, but if you needed anything for a gamedev laptop I would say a little more memory.

And rofle''s to picture above.
