I believe i go to the lamest most uneducated school in existance. If you take out the top 5% of intelligent people the average IQ would be about 50. And they have no appreciation for computers at all. Even the teachers are slow. Can anyone relate to my situation?
You want a piece of me, boy?
cynical, but true.
What are you talking about?!? You think it is bad that there are stupid people? Yes, I guess for the above average person it might seem a little annoying at first. But then if you really are above average, you'll look towards the future, and think about a job. It is a lot easier for us to get jobs, because we are smarter then everyone else, and have more then a basic knowledge of computers. Ok, it might be hard for some of you to understand all this, but let me give you an example in my own life.
Every Tuesday I go to my friends house, and I help his Mom with her computer. She knows the basics of computers, but she wants to know how to do stuff like put a box around letters and stuff, so I help her for 30 seconds, then she cooks dinner, and I watch TV for 5 minutes with my friend. Then I help her for another 30 seconds, etc. This goes on 3 more times, then I finnish watching the movie with my friend and eat the dinner at the same time. Then me and my friend leave, and go do whatever around town. ALso I get paid $10 for that, which I spend that night doing whatever. See, stupid people are awesome!

These people are not stupid.
They just don''t anything about computer.
And you guys are probally not more inteligent
then these ignorant people for knowing more then they do
about computers. Just More knowegdable
But I still think it is okay to take advantage of those
who are ignorant, espeacailly those who are willing to pay
you. (like piksel''s friend''s Mom.)

Hey, some people are better in certain things than other people. I suppose it''s really a matter of drive, we''re more driven to do this than the average person.

I was going to comment, but when I wrote out my response it was just too cynical. That''s what high school did to me, hehehe. I''ll just post something a friend of mine told me when I was a sophomore in high school. "Try to have some compassion for people of little intelligence."
After all, they''ll be your customers some day!

One more thing...
That''s true in a number of cases, but I think Mr. Anonymous''s original statement that the average person is kind of stupid was meant a bit more generally than just knowledge of computers...

people don´t are stupid or we are inteligent, what happenig is more like the Phantasy Star 2 history,90% of everything in this world is just too easy and people get used to it, so when something hard pop up people get afraid and run away from it, that´s why this world is sucking lately, no one have courage to change it
So. i was there in the middle of a lot of witches and mages, when she come to me:
-You are too young to be a mage.
-No, i´m not a mage, i´m a programmer.
-How! Sorry... what a bad luck.
-Yeah... Don´t even talk about it...

I preferred High School. There was no pressure. Uni is a little bit more demanding *sigh*

Nes, I don''t know about the schools themselves, but I can assure you that the school board we have here is full of Commie scum (well, except for the 2 newest members, but that''s not enough for a majority).
I''ll tell you of one thing here: we have two high schools here, one of which was extremely overcrowded last year, the other only overcrowded by about 7 people (seriously). So, Mr. Communist Superintendent decided that a whole bunch of people should be moved to the other school to make the overcrowding equal in both schools. Everybody was obviously against this, but at first, he said something like he didn''t care what anybody thinks, he was going to do it. Eventually, though, he must have realized that America is still a democracy (for the time being, anyway), so he finally gave in and only made the incoming freshemen and sophomores go to the other school. Some other stuff ended up hapenning though, and now only incoming freshmen in the redistricting area have to go there now.
Here''s something else, a little more recent. The Communist school board recently made drug testing mandatory for all athletes, and added that cost to the already high pay to play fee. Okay, so this isn''t necesarily Communist, but it''s definately unconstitutional, if you ask me. Doesn''t that go against the 4th ammendment (no unauthorized searches/seizures)?
Stupid Communists...
If ever we needed a McCarthy, it''s now
If you code it, they will come...

U.S. high schools are worse than communist!
If China had a U.S. school board running it, they''d want to go back to normal communism!
lntakitopi@aol.com - http://www.geocities.com/guanajam
- Our school systems are communist.
- Our government is heading toward quasi-socialism/communism (eventually full takeover).
- Our government was never a democracy OR a republic.
- Our government certainly isn''t a monarchy.
What are we?!
Seriously, the US gov. is whacked. What do you think?

I hate to say this but I think every High School is like that. Mine is. I walk down the halls and I hear drug related conversations 99% of the time. The whole school is doped out. Everyone it seems like is an idiot. I just wish the intelligent were the majority instead of the minority..

damn! This brings up another bad point about the US. If we vote for Gore, we''d loose video game violence, and if we vote Bush, we''d be led into a communist government. (First by raising school standards (communist) and such) This comes to the conclusion that...
Gore=Anti-Games
Bush=Communist
3rd Party=what''s a 3rd party?

A fact is, people that are not knowledgeable are not at all all idiots, but you are more likely to find them among the not knowledgeable.
Now about the US gov.
A two party state is NOT a democracy/republic. sorry. party pluralism is an essential part of the definition of a republic/democracy. it''s like in britain (but they have liberals), where you choose for red and blue. the people merely have the choice of two party guidelines : 1 more liberal/conservative, 1 more socialist. also, have you ever noticed that the party guidelines adapt themselves to the situation ? when say, there is a massive success of lefties, the righties get a bit more leftyish, to get a better score next time...
gives you alot to think about, eh ?
