NeHe's next tutorial

Original Post
I noticed NeHe asked what his next tutorial should be about. To save NeHe getting tons of mail on his next tutorial, we could post it in this forum. I have thought about his next tutorial but I can''t think of what it could be, anyone else?

3D Game Engines 101?
I agree, I want more tutorials on 3d engine tech. Maybe ROAM terrain and octtrees
Or just like a binary file format, than again I can do that :O If anyone is intrested in learning how to save and load c++ objects (classes, structs) into binary files, contact me... ICQ 17420367, email max621@ync.net
I would like to see some tech tutorials, too. Maybe some scene traversal algorithms. I also want to know what a perfect visibility set is. Or a tutorial on implementing bounding boxes and frustum culling. (Are that too much wishes?)
That''s a little bit off topic from OpenGL but I think its interesting???

LIGHTMAPS! LIGHTMAPS! LIGHTMAPS!
i know one of the lessons pretty much goes over multitexturing with bump mapping, but i''d still like to see a tutorial on LIGHT MAPS. see, not only would it help us out, but it''d be easy for Nehe to do since half of it is done in the bump tutorial already.

3D MODEL''S ANIMATION!!!!
PLEASE!!!
How do they animate Lara Croft????
Bones?? 3D Sprites????
After reading the OpenGL Guide, The OpenGL SuperBible, Thousand of articles about BSP and Octrees, Collision Detection, etc, etc... I still don´t know how to animate a single skeleton!!!
SHOW US THE WAY OLD MASTER!!!!!!!

3D models animation is very easy, .md2(Quake2) models are very easy to read and to display, from what I understand they save one model for each frame.
If some one want some code in reading md2 models contact me at: kristian.johansson@akot.nu
Or you can search the webb there are pleanty of docs on that topic.

Yeah, LIGHTMAPS !
:-)
Personally I prefer short, straight to the point tutes like the Sweet Snippets series to long, tedious, complicated ones like the one about ortho view, sound and all
one about octrees is not a bad idea either :-)

Oh! Please let be collision detection. Ray to Triangle.
Well I couldn''t say Lightmaps because I don''t know what they are.
If I had a guess It would be a map that slowly changes lightness and darkness and the lighter pixels would have a higher value than the lower, so you can plot uneven terrain. Sounds close? It is kind of like storing values in an ASCII file but a picture is much smaller and you can do stuff like blur to get the picture more even.
But the tutorial that I would choose would be like when you move around in a Demo. Is it a lot of Rotating and Translating or is it some maths with gluLookAt. I still haven''t got that last one figured out yet. I''m sure I''ll be happy with whatever NeHe decides.
