Has anyone ever used DirectX Toolkit? Would you recomend it? Would it be a good thing for a newbie to get into? I found it today. Was just wondering if it was worth it or not. Thanks for your time. Foxtrot DirectX Toolkit

Never used it, but after looking at the website I would say... stay away from it. There are several free alternatives out there. You could even code up your own with a little determination. $300 for a DXWrapper is ridiculous.

I looked at CDX. I believe I will go with that. We shall see.
Got to see how to make a window first.

Where did you see $20? I looked again, and saw it not Regardless, I just can''t see spending money on a simple wrapper like that. I mean, if the thing were loaded with special effects routines, then maybe. But for what they''re offering, no thanks.
