I am busy with a RTS game like Homeworld (Sierra) My question what engine is the best for it (free) or are there any people that have an engine that i can use or are there a group of people that are interested to work with us to make a 3d engine? Why not just a game engine? You can use DirectX or OpenGL (or Crystal Space, that one looks good) for your 3D engine.
