Windows 98 Setup !?!?

Ok, I know this might be a stupid question, but there''s an issue in Win98 setup which troubles me. When I bought my computer, I got Windows 98 OEM with it. But what exactly is the difference between OEM version and "normal" version? I mean when I install it, it launches a program called "oemsetup", what happens if I perform a clean install and launch the normal "setup" program? Will I be missing something intended for my computer? Someone said that it contains some manufacturer''s settings etc., but what an earth could they be? I mean, I have ASUS-motherboard, Diamond graphics card, SB audio card and Nokia display. When I install Win98, I install those drivers from their disks, so what else could possibly be missing if I don''t use the "OEMsetup" ?? Or is the whole program for those users who don''t understand how to install their drivers manually?

Microsoft will also kindly tell you when you have a problem, that because you have an OEM version, you need to contact your supplier for support not them !!!

I don''t believe their is a difference between OEM and the normal
version. And you are definately not going to miss anything by
launching the normal setup.exe. Just my 2 penny''s.

I think i once read that the OEM setup is run manufacturers to prepare the computer for sale to users. What this means is that, after the OEM setup, the computer goes into windows where the manufacturer can preinstall all drivers and software that comes with the system. Then the manufacturer shuts down the computer, and the next time the computer starts up instead of going into windows you go into the screens that ask you for cd key #, authenticity #, name, company... the things that come up when you buy a new computer and start it up.
