ASP stands for Active Server Pages, and it is a technology developed by Microsoft that allows for dynamic content on web pages. For example, on the main page, the news, the navigation bars, the most recent threads, etc., are all included "on the fly" through ASP. It also provides scripting features, so it is kind of like using SSI and CGI.

To use it, your server has to support it. Since our server uses IIS on NT, support is a given, but I'm not sure what other servers would support it. Given server support, it's just a matter of including the proper directives within the HTML.

I don't personally know of any good sites for learning ASP (I don't know it myself), but aspin.com might have some information.
