Is there a utility or how do you make the wfn fonts used by Power Render? Gary

You can use the WGT Sprite Editor to convert. There was also a utility written by someone a few years ago that converted truetype fonts into wfn. I don''t know the location of that any more.

I wouldn''t recommend using the built in font routines for anything other than debug messages and stats on the screen.
It draws everything using pixels write to the back buffer. For production quality fonts you should be using a set of textures with color keying and let the 3D card draw each letter. As a bonus you get multicolored fonts and alpha effects.

Yeah, I was pretty much thinking the same thing but was still interested on how they were made. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, there was a ScreenSaver example in the MSVC help.
It''s that well known text rotating OpenGL screensaver.

This program used true-type windows fonts for an OpenGL screensaver.

This source code may be the thing you''re looking for...
